Redwood Lighting is the architectural and technical lighting division of Redwood Tech Group, based in Dubai. Lighting design and control engineering are delivered as one scope.

Redwood Lighting builds on the architectural lighting practice formerly known as Sans Souci Architectural Lighting.

Who we are

The practice designs and delivers lighting and control for hospitality, residential, retail and galleries, commercial workplaces, façades and landscapes, and large-scale entertainment and sports venues.

Creative lighting design sits with in-house control engineering, custom fixtures, and energy-conscious specification. Designs follow the architecture, the function, and the budget.

The design package includes electrical engineering and control information, so the installed result matches the approved intent. Light modelling is prepared in DIALux and Relux.

The studio is at 110 Al Asmawi Building, DIP1, Dubai. Red Wood General Trading LLC trades as Redwood Technologies and was incorporated in Dubai in 2011. This profile covers lighting only.

Control systems DMX, DALI, and pixel-mapping control designed with the lighting.
Modelling and compliance DIALux and Relux calculations, energy-saving specification, and light-pollution studies for LEED-oriented compliance.

Awards

Commercial Interiors recognised Crank Spin & Fitness, Dubai, for Best Use of Lighting in Interior Design. Madame Tussauds Dubai was commissioned for exhibit lighting and control: bespoke fixtures and multi-channel dimming so figures and themed zones read correctly.
